What does P0496 mean?
The DTC P0496 (Evaporative Emission System High Purge Flow) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a EVAP purge high condition in the evap subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.
